Kyoto sight: Kiyomizu-dera

Surprisingly, I loved Kyoto. I’m not much of a cultural person, the temples? Nah, not my cup of tea.

However, I think it was the subtle charm of Kyoto, the fantastic food and the gentle nature of the city that got to me. If I had to pick one temple to go, Kiyomizu will definitely be my top pick.

But first, you got to conquer the climb to the temple.

I imagine it must be the most beautiful in autumn with the red flowering blossoms.

You could pay to go into the temple but we were there pretty late (around sunset), hence, we didn’t explore the paid sections but took a nice long walk around the temple grounds.

They have these fortune things that you could get for 100Y

Super long descent down
