Hong Kong Day 2: Dim Sum at New Star Seafood
Hong Kong Day 2
As usual: Bad resolution photos are mine. Good and lomo photos are from my talented friend, Roger Yeo. Check out his Facebook for more photos, he does photo shoots. Some other photos are from Shu En’s Olympus Pen. If you’re interested to know whose who’s, drop a comment.
Day 2: Dim sum brekkie, shopping, Cat cafe and the Symphony of Lights at Victoria Harbour
The girls had brekkie at New Star Seafood restaurant which was pretty good! The guys dumped us for Ocean Park that day so we were pretty much on our own to do our favourite thing! Shopping!
Its shopping at New Town Mall but don’t bother asking for it in English, no one would know. Its called “Sam Ji Sang” in catonese or “three chickens sing” as my friend Shu En aptly puts it. It’s a Far East Plaza/ Bugis Street shopping centre. Most items cost about $10 each, quality isn’t fantastic. I’ve seen several blogshop items here.
Then we met the boys at Central MTR because I forced them to go Ah Meow Cafe with me. I read about it from my friend, Stooffi’s blog. Check out her blog for more arty-farty pictures! It wasn’t fantastic as the cats were very unsociable and grumpy. But the coffee I had was good and I guessed we managed to snap some pretty pictures.
Entry is free, you’ll be required to sign up for membership on the spot. Membership is free, don’t fret!
Our last stop of the day was to watch the Symphony of Lights which had pew pew laser lights shooting across the bay. You can catch it from multiple places but we were at Avenue of Stars. I think it was a see-once sight. The good thing is – free Wifi there!
